Embark Horizon Funds UK Property Update – September 18th 2020

The Embark Horizon Multi Asset Fund range* has reduced exposure to Property by selling out of the Columbia Threadneedle Property Fund (PAIF), which was re-opened to investors on 17 September 2020.

With a challenging UK economic environment due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and Brexit, a decision was taken to sell out of the Columbia Threadneedle Property Fund (PAIF) given the risks of further periods of closures.  Property funds may also be subject to further regulatory changes which could impact redemption notice periods.

The Embark Horizon Multi Asset Funds may resume investment into Property Funds in the future as and when the asset class is deemed to be an appropriate and suitable investment for retail investors.

The proceeds from the sale of the Columbia Threadneedle Property Fund (PAIF) have been allocated across the other asset classes to ensure the Horizon funds remain aligned with EValue’s Quarterly Allocations and within the risk guidelines.

The Embark Horizon Multi Asset Funds continue their focus to deliver upon investors expectations for a well-diversified and liquid Multi Asset Fund range that meets their expected risk and return profiles over the medium to long term. Asset allocations are provided by the appointed asset allocation provider EValue who set the Strategic Asset Allocation for the Embark Horizon Multi Asset Funds on a quarterly basis. The Horizon funds are managed by Columbia Threadneedle.
